100 will remind you of Spyder, A R Murgadoss' marginal attempt to bring Mahesh Babu to the Tamil audience.  But, the movie lacks the tightly-wound story and at times, the holes in the fabric are too conspicuous.

Atharvaa is a good choice for the super-hero-like cop who can beat up 10 guys with an equal number of blows.  He is young and muscular, and has a handsome face which carries him along.  His acting alongside the legendary Radha Ravi brings weight to his character in convincing us of his commitment to ensuring justice is served, despite what the system says.

Yogi Babu is added for some good clean fun, but his physique is more weighty than the character.  Hansika is in for "eye-candy", but the age difference between her and her hero is irritatingly obvious.  We wish they could have cast someone younger, even if it is for just 15 minutes of screen time.

What gives this movie fame is an unusual twist in the character of the villain.  Rather than making some maniacal sociopath or some eccentric don, he is just another middle class kid in the community.  His reasons for his crimes, however, touch on the macabre.

While this movie will do nothing to your intelligence, it is an entertaining, edge-of-your seat thriller which is family-friendly enough to watch with the kids.
