"The world could use a little old-fashioned right now." An apt quote from Captain America for a world healing from COVID and, hopefully, the ache of vaccinations.
Solo Brathuke So Better takes a line from the "Don't Marry, Be Happy" song from 2002's Manmathudu and turns it into the title for a predictable but entertaining rom-com.
The story centers on Virat, who develops a cult following by writing a booklet with 108 slokas about why love is pointless, and the truly good life is one who lives single. He truly believes this until the lessons of life teach him otherwise, and of course, falls in love himself. The catch? The girl he loves looks up to him as hero and role model for living life the single way.
While it is nothing to "write home about," the actors and comedians somehow manage to bring a little magic to a little tale, making this movie a comfortable watch with the family, as you hold the ice pack to your newly vaccinated arm.
