Mohan's Measure ⭐⭐⭐

It starts off being along the lines of the expected.  A young man receives a series of wrong number calls on the landline, and soon picks up a conversation with the young woman on the other end.  This turns to the idea of meeting.  However, the two people conversing are using the same phone at the same time, living two decades apart.

Despite the less than complimentary reviews from movie critics, I liked Play Back.  It is a clever movie with an interesting plot, albeit having relatively unknown actors whose efforts at acting wear on you a little.   Ms. Nagalla, however, is charming in the role of a young woman new to love, and new to being an adoptive mother to a charming little boy.

The beauty of the film is its story.  While it certainly reminds you of other sci-fi films you've seen before, it is the first time that such sci fi is done without the usual heavy-handedness of Tollywood.  Adding to it is the fact you can watch it with your kids.
