There is a big difference between ancient Chinese culture and ancient Indian culture, at least in the way this film portrays it. The former labelled courageous women as witches, while the latter considered them goddesses. From Jhansi Rani to Padmavathy to Sita to Meenakshi Amman, ancient India saw the Sacred Feminine as the inspiration behind Loyalty, Bravery and Truth.

But, sadly the source of these ideals is now the last to follow them. So, we now must turn to an American interpretation of a Chinese legend to bring this truth to light to our children.

This well acted, beautifully presented story about a beautiful young woman pretending to be a man to serve as a warrior brings values that far outweigh anything they can learn in Kumon.

I beg each of you to let them find their Chi. For you see there is a 4th honor to add to the list of the three - devotion to family.
