We all can relate. Family is the group of people we cannot be without, but ironically, cannot stand to be around.

 

Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam is a simple movie with complicated title, looking at what happens when family gets together for a special occasion, and in turn, bring out things which perhaps would be best not to bring out.  

The movie is refreshing in not having anyone take a lead role, but allowing each actor to offer something of their character into the ongoing conversation. All of the them are newcomers, but each offers a natural, believable performance.

What is amazing about the film is just how middle class everything and everyone is.  The setting is a basic home in a basic town in North Kerala.  It is nestled among trees and brush, giving the feeling that whomever comes there is entering a world of its own.

But, isn't that what family is?
