Undoubtedly inspired by Saand Ki Aankh, Director Kunukoor's version has the unique twist of a village belle wanting to get married, and having no ability to because of ridiculously external circumstances.  We begin to question what weddings in South India feature grooms veiled in flowers riding on horseback.

This unravels a whole set of added questions, like, why would a man looking for talents invest money to build a training academy for shooters in a small village? Why wouldn't he just bring them back to the city to train?  Then there is the question of why Keerthi Suresh's love interest encourages her to sharp-shoot rather than going for it himself.

No question can or is really answered in this laugh out loud attempt at film-making.  A weak story is further weakened by the heroine's sudden romantic interest in the coach, who is at least twice her age.  The Coach's rejection and the boyfriend's depression are equally accepted, rather than just trying to come to some adult understanding of it all.

 

Good luck Sakhi is further bad luck for Ms. Suresh's failing career.
