Mohan's Measure ⭐⭐⭐⭐

What makes Dasvi charming is that it is a whimsical movie, offering good clean fun and a positive message in an environment where one is least likely to find it, among politicians and prisoners.

Mr. Bachchan leaves us laughing as a dictatorial Chief Minister who is caught in a phony school scam. While being lauded and pampered by his fellow inmates, he is forced into chores by a disciplining young lady warden. To escape from menial labor, he joins the prison school to finish high school, and it is here the middle aged comes of age.

Owing to her limited years in the movie industry and her obvious glamor, Ms. Gautam's character feels plasticized, almost too perfect in her straight lacked, den-mother like role. Thankfully, this motherly relationship prevents needless romance.

Ms. Kaur's eccentric thirst for power as Chaudary's wife and acting Chief Minister doesn't do much for romance, either. But, it makes the plot all the more enjoyable. The wife's love for her husband is clouded by the newfound sense of prestige, to the point she is ready to keep her hubby where he is.

While other critics are quick to point out all the holes in this picture, I will run on the platform that Dasvi is a humorous, quirky watch for the whole family.
