They call it Pan Indian Cinema. Create a godless, soulless set and carbon copies of other movies in the futile attempt to bring in big collections. The most recent failed attempt, PS -1, is now closely followed followed by Naane Varuvean, an equally drab production attempting, to the point of the ludicrous, to offer the audience with a smorgasbord of ''been there done that.''

It is a less than imaginative idea, which is all the more disheartening considering that this movie is about ghosts, possessions, good and evil, and all else that stereotypifies the horror genre. 

Name a horror film, and you can find a scene in this movie which is a bad recreation of it, from Cape Fear to Alavandhan the Exorcist. Perhaps, there should be a special Oscar for the most number of plagiarized films.  Mr. Selvaraghavan would beat them all. 

As too the category of bad acting. The only person taking himself seriously is Yogi Babu, and he's the comedy relief. The rest are zombie walking through their roles, responding like hand puppets to the director's signals. 

Perhaps this director should consider comedy. His horror movies are a joke.
