Mohan's Measure ⭐⭐⭐

I have mentioned this before, the people of Andhra/Telengana are a sentimental lot. They just don't know how to express it well.

Mr. Nikhil is proof positive of this. He is supposed to be a man reforming after finding and falling for a young woman by reading her diary. But even at what is supposed to be a beautiful ending, he manages to look like the same lost drunkard he looked like at the beginning of the movie. A young man must be either insane or the pope to keep the same stoic appearance when a girl like Ms. Parameswaran is sitting right across from him.

She is the reason I can give 3 stars to this film. She plays the character of a good natured young woman throughout, but with an all too human expressiveness.
There is a genuineness to her acting and her talent for non verbal communication that carries this movie through the romance and the good of the common man.

Compliments should be given, too, to the writers and director, who could keep a quiet story relatively quiet, and nicely tied together. Now if they could just do something about Mr. Nikhil's personality, or lack thereof.

After all, miracles do happen.
