Mohan's Measure. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have to admit,. I like Aishwarya Rajesh, but not for the reasons one normally becomes a fan. Indeed, it is because of her understatement - her minimal makeup and stoic demeanor - that Ms. Rajesh remains a true actress, one that we can relate to. 

In Driver Jamuna, she plays the title character, a lonely Uber Driver whose earnings are being used to care for her recently widowed mother. On one fateful ride,  she is booked to drive a trio of killers and an innocent music composer around Chengelput. This sets the fast ace for a clever thriller, which pits the cops against politicians, and those who are hired to kill them. 

But, there is a deeper story here, slowly bubbling to the surface like a simmering pot of tea, revealing itself in the closing minutes to leave us dumbfounded. We didn't see it coming, and that's what makes this movie a definite watch.
