Mohan's Measure ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Part of Lucky Man's success is that it is set in a very real part of the Chennai Metroplex, the cities that make up the old part that was once called Madras. There is a believability to this movie, the every man in a system that is no longer meant for him is suddenly brought good luck, and the envy of those who do see reason for him to have it.

What is all the more likable is that Yogi Babu is not a one man show. He and Veera are on par, both in terms of screen time and characterization to build an effective story.  It feels like good guy vs bad guy, but really it is about two ordinary guys who just wish they could be understood a little better.

Lucky Man is a great family film that has a lot to offer. Reminders of kurals are all around in a story that is at once comedic, philosophical, and refreshingly forgiving of the human condition, especially the male fascination with cars. It isn't an amazing, but it certainly wags a tail.
