The only reason I picked out this film was because it stars the very talented and very sophisticated Mr. Simha.  I think all of us would have been satisfied watching just one of him, but we in this convoluted excuse for a movie, we lose count as to how many of him there are.  The worst of it is they are all playing the same character.  That's right.  Vasantha Mullai - a title which has nothing to do with the plot - is a tedious mix of bad horror and bad sci fi, all sold as a psychological thriller.

Psychiatric treatment more like it.  Not only does Bobby Simha's character get it in the movie- the director needs it in real life.  The entire frightening experience repeats itself twice, perhaps even a third time, each time with another lead couple.

While Mr. Simha's acting is certainly challenged, it is the ridiculous plot and all the more ridiculous ending that leaves us loopy.
