East meets West, Karan Johar is the best. He has managed to create a multiverse in which we Indians are sensitive, New Age versions of our Western counterparts, who share very much the same issues, albeit cloned, as Western culture does.

Sukhee is yet another invite into this multiverse, where being a hard working guy is frowned, as too a woman working hard to raise kids and run a home. It claims to be a feminist film, but really it falls back into painting a caricature of the Karan Johar universe - rich, handsome folks, who know a lot about love and relationships despite having been married in a small village in Punjab.

What is created and presented is a cardboard cutout, in a which a 40+ woman can change an outfit and turn into a 20 something diva. It is one in which a nerdy loser turns into a handsome prince, and 20 year marriage can end and restart in seconds without a second thought. And let's not forget the horse race.
