Mohan's Measure ⭐⭐⭐

Garudan is intended to be a film noir, but somehow it just doesn't seem to muster up enough courage to make the cut.

Nonetheless, Mr. Gopi and Mr. Menon give stellar performances as two intelligent men operating on opposite ends of the law. The side characters provide great support and backup.

But what is how much of the plot has to be held up with over the top subplots and assumptions. There is too much to be reckoned, and the lack of the expected metaphor and moral dilemma makes things more like an episode from a TV series rather than a solid movie.  There are times the story drags, while at other times it feels choppy.

The first time director does prove his talents, though. He should perhaps keep his eyes open for better scripts.
