Poets take all the beautiful, precious aspects of life and worship Her as the Goddess.  Similarly, some of the best cinematography ever is captured on Ms. Thakur.  Our Sita Ramam princess is back in all her elegance, poise, and cinematographic emotion, captured on screen and presented to us as the lead of a predictable, but emotional, feel good picture.

 

Nani plays her love interest, and even though his age is slightly showing, he is quite convincing as the lonely, sacrificing, single father who keeps deep secrets and pain from his daughter.  That daughter, played by first timer Miss Khanna, is simply adorable.  The scene in the above poster is actually a scene from the movie.  And while we Telugus remain stoic, I could imagine an American audience letting out an "awww."

 

Awe is not what you feel after seeing this movie.  It is long and dragging in places, and the item song was absolutely unnecessary.  But, a predictable picture with a happy, heartwarming ending is always welcome.
