Tukaram has a lot of things going for him - an interesting job, an interest in literature and poetry, and most importantly, a passion for good food. There is only problem - he has no love life. A chance call from a wrong number changes his fate in Prakash Raj's breezy remake of Malayalam's Salt N Pepper.

Nana Patekar is a shoe in for the role. He plays the character with due eccentricity tempered by a certain self defacing personality, making him quite likeable. But, in soliloquy, we find the man, complex and complete in his life and it's many sides.

Unlike other films, Shriya Saran sheds her sex symbol demeanor to play Madhura, a lonely woman who finds herself falling in love with a man she knows only as another voice on the phone.

Her understatement is countered by Tapsee, who plays the wild young friend whose tampering with the situation leads to her finding her own love.

A respectable remake of the original, Tadka is a fun family watch.
