Mohan's Measures ⭐⭐⭐

We saw what happens by bride's get exchanged, but what happens when babies do?  This is the premise for Baby and Baby, providing a fun backdrop to a laugh out loud, totally nonsensical comedy about two big families, and the misunderstandings, covers ups, and antics that eventually bring them together.

Unlike the aforementioned North Indian film, however, this is not a quiet comedy in any way.  This is sight gags, slapstick, and lots of cynical one-liners, combined with music that celebrates a certain return to Tamil values, villages, and of course, language.  It is the kind of stuff you would want to watch with family.

Yogi Babu and Satyaraj who play the two eccentric characters, who are setting the movie's tone, but I like the fact that the humor that is offered is clean and homespun, something you wouldn't have to worry about seeing with your kids.

And it is ultimately family, and the humanistic sentiment of knowing the joys and sorrows of parenting that is brought out here.  The message at the end, however, feels a little out of place but gets the point across.
