One only wonders why we must keep seeing the bad guys being brutally beaten on their backside ad nauseum. But that is the objective of this excessively bloody, needlessly gory sequel to the popular HIT series.

To remind everyone, HIT stands for Homocide Intervention Team, a cheesy title for a set of investigative thrillers starring a different lead actor in each successive story. The idea has remained clever until now, when Nani has taken the reins.

What results is an extension of his character in Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. Indeed, except for the imitation James Bond look in the closing scenes, Arjun Sarkaar could have very well been wearing the same clothes. His character remains much the same too, angry, violent, struggling with mommy issues, and bent on torturing and killing as many people as his unlimited screen time will allow. 

Capture, Torture, Kill. CTC. This is the equally dumb name for the villainous cult that is recruiting nutjobs by choosing them among those who post videos of themselves, brutally killing people on the dark web. To get in to the club, our hero has to do the same. But rather than staging it, he just does it. Simple.By the end of the movie, Nani is so reddened, he could be the stunt double in Chaava.

Doubling over from nausea is what happens to us, from the  level of grotesque violence this movie uses to replace a plot. By the end of it, we are numbed, which is worrying both to me and several psychiatrists.
