Once the backbone of democratic society, those of us in the middle class now are it's punching. Putting in long hours to live paycheck by paycheck, we long for a simpler, more meaningful life. 

Middle Class is a breezy, predictable tale that addresses all this in a wonderfully comedic way, and offering a message of hope to a needing world. Set in the 00s, it revolves around the life of a man named Karl Marx, whose personality vaguely reminds you of Fred Flintstone. He and his wife are struggling to make ends meet with his average job and her tailoring work. The wife is dreaming of a luxury apartment, while the kids are looking to get the latest toys and the latest fashions. But, Mr. Marx is more pragmatic,seeking a return to his village and farming life.

Any of this needs money, and it comes from a kind businessman who had once borrowed money from Marx's dad. The problem...Marx misplaces the check.

The zany fun begins. Without trust for the cops, a wild search for the check takes around the streets, with even psychotherapists being sought out to help Marx remember where he had left the check. The fun becomes endearing with the arrival of Radha Ravi as a private detective taking the missing check to be his last case.

While this movie is not the stuff of legend, Middle Class makes a terrific family film to a time when good people mattered.
