In a poignant, prophetic scene, Juliette explains to her beloved the significance of a wedding ring. It is worn on the left ringer to indicate how one soul connects to the other's heart. Such is the bittersweet beauty of this film. It is at once a mass action movie carefully and consciously interwoven with complex, multi-layered emotions.
Having the director and lead actor as the writers makes this difficult task possible, and surprisingly, effective.

And it is the extraordinarily talented Telugu-American, Mr. Sesh, who makes this movie what it is. He stays understated, and in moments of heroic hyperbole, we find he is self-effacing. This movie is first and foremost about his giving in to commitment, and unlike other movies of this genre, such transformation is not accompanied by fanfare.

Fans have waited for our SitaRamam princess to return, and Ms. Thakur offers us this character through her expressions. Saraswati aka Juliette is victim to the cruelty of a toxic male world, but she is determined to succeed; and succeed she must if only for her little girl. We never quite know who the father of this little girl is, and again, quite contrary to other Telugu movies, it is suggested that it doesn't matter.

While their are plot holes, the calm, collected aura by Mr. Kashyap keeps the story on the ground.

In all, Dacoit is a deeply emotional movie of brooding, acceptance and reconciliation.  And despite the violence, it paints a very human tale.
