Mohan's Measure ⭐️ ⭐️

Just when Tamil Nadu politics puts aside men named after villains, the Telugu industry looks for similar names. A low budget sound designer named Varun keeps hearing this title in times of distress, usually accompanied by the hallucination of seeing the very character, aka Duryodhana of Mahabharata fame. Granted, this is a creative idea, now we just need to get a good story around it. 

At first we do. Suyodhana starts off as a slow burn investigation of suspicious characters and cover ups. We soon start understanding how the hero's PTSD is actually leading to clues.  However, from early on, one can sense something heavy handed.

The second half is where the plot loses control, becoming more about emotions and sentiment than fact. Indeed, words like miracles and destiny are thrown about, as a young man's frightening hallucinations are now explained as reasons for revenge. 

Closure is brought at the expense of logic, as the story falls as easily as characters fall of buildings. 

But that just sizes things up, this movie is a catastrophe.
