Gandhari - Oh, I See
Gandhari Hindi, 2026 Genre: Thriller Director: Devashish Makhija Stars: Taapsee, Ishwak Singh, Chhaya Kedam, Swastika Mukherjee, Mita Vasisht, Prashanth Nārāyana Mohan's Measure ⭐ The Mahabharata tells of the wife of Emperor Dhritarashtra who kept herself blindfolded to match her blind husband. This movie pays homage to her in the title and in giving us a plot in which the lead character feigns blindness. Metaphors like this abound in this movie, and for that the director/writer deserve some credit. How this is executed, however, is the story's fatal flaw. While Ms. Taapsee's acting is laudable, her quick transformation from desperately frightened mother to Shaolin warrior is hard to accept, as too the stoic old woman who instantly becomes her ''Jedi master.'' The explanation offered is all the more ridiculous, and using this as the prop for the brutal second half is beyond belief.
