Certainly it succeeds in this, but we only wish they could have executed it better. With a set of 50 plus hardly known to first time actors, the movie tells a nostalgic tale of a time, decades ago, when our entertainment centers were not a vital organ, and when friends and neighbors gathered together to watch...gasp...the same streaming program at the same time. And get this, sometimes people actually talked to each other. The dopamine fix was still there, though, just as much, this to the chagrin of newlyweds who happened to have the only one with a satellite dish (check Chat GPT).
